Everything You Need to Know About Galapagos

Quick answers to the most common questions, so you can plan with confidence.

Agencies in the Galapagos earn a commission on each booking, included in the price. If you book everything with one agency, the total cost is lower because services are bundled. If something changes -- weather, cancellations, schedule shifts -- one agency can rearrange everything. With multiple agencies you pay more and coordination becomes your problem. We work with every operator across all four islands, so you get the full selection through a single reliable contact.

The Transit Control Card (TCT) is required for every traveler, including children. You fill it out on the official government website before flying to the Galapagos. It tracks visitors entering and leaving the islands, and you will be asked to present it at the airport. Complete it at least 24 hours before your flight to avoid problems.

Most travel websites set a fixed price year-round and charge more because they can't adjust to the actual season. On our platform you request a quote and communicate directly with us. We know the real rates for low, mid, and high season and pass those savings to you. That's why we consistently offer better prices than static booking sites.

Galapagos is a high-demand destination. The best tours, dive trips, and ferry schedules fill up well in advance, especially during high season (June--September and December--January). We recommend booking at least 2--4 weeks before your trip. For high season, 1--2 months is ideal.

Santa Cruz: 2--4 days (main hub, most tours and connections). Isabela: 2--3 days max (largest island but limited tours -- don't overcommit). San Cristobal: 2--3 days (great diving, sea lions, relaxed vibe). Floreana: 1--2 days (remote, peaceful, few services). Isabela charges an entrance fee of $5 for Ecuadorians / $10 for foreigners, cash only.
